Quotas

--

The government has created gender quotas in certain organisations in the name of poverty abolition.

For instance, some government jobs have minimum race quotas for new hires, and the government encourages the private sector to implement similar policies. In historically bumi-dominant civil services, there are race quotas for hires, while in historically non-bumi dominant private sectors, such as businesses, there are no quotas.

In some ways, this has only made things worse. Each race feels as if the other is receiving special treatment due to these affirmative action policies. Resentment festers.

It is an unending cycle that spiral downs.
